Chapman Community at Kohl
“ Chapman gives you a sense of pride. When you are in Chapman you really make life-
At Chapman at Kohl you qualify to participate in four quality leadership programs:
Each year a dozen students from our program receive the Klein Spirit of Chapman scholarship and stay at Kohl their sophomore year to serve as Chapman Leaders, a sophomore peer mentor program. Chapman Leaders learn the theory and practice of leadership in a year-long seminar and work on a capstone project. Chapman Leaders help with our event planning, they MC at our meetings, they welcome new students and make you feel at home. They answer all your questions, take you out on the town, and show you the fun events on campus. Kohl Hall also has 12 Resident Advisers, so there are plenty of upper class students to help make your first year here a happy one.
BGSU Leadership Certificate Program
Sponsored through the campus Center for Leadership, this leadership certificate program equips BGSU students to serve their community and world through networking, collaboration and social change. Any service hours you accumulate here in Chapman at Kohl will transfer to meet this Leadership program’ s hundred hour service requirement; our service-learning coursework and many of our community sessions and events will fulfill requirements for the certificate.
BGSU Leadership Academy
All Chapman students meet the conditions to apply for this dynamic leadership academy conference in February.
Chapman students are extremely well-qualified to secure a place at this energizing six- day student leader retreat in the summer that will focus on vision, partnerships, integrity and results. All participants leave with a “ LeaderShape Blueprint” plan of action.
