Susannah Cleveland received her M.M. in Musicology and M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in Denton and her B.M. in Music History from Baylor University. Research interests include non-textual description of music materials, popular music collections in academic libraries, and music librarianship. Her publications include chapters in A Basic Music Library, 4th ed. (forthcoming from American Library Association) and articles in Music Reference Services Quarterly, The ARSC Journal, and NOTES: The Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association.
She is active in the Music Library Association, including membership on the Board of Directors (Member at Large, 2010-2012), the Web Advisory Committee (2007-), the Career Development and Services Committee (2007-2010), the Preservation Committee (2003-2007, 2011-), and the Information Sharing Subcommittee (2002-2006). She was MLA’s Placement Officer from 2007-2010. She is also active at the chapter level, including membership on the MLA Midwest Chapter’s Technology, Archives, Preservation, & Sound Committee (2006–present).
