Staff Biography: Marilyn Levinson
Curator of Manuscripts
Marilyn Levinson is the Curator of Manuscripts in the Center for Archival Collections (CAC). She holds a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, an M.A. in History from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Indiana University - Bloomington. Marilyn has been employed at BGSU since 1979.
Her responsibilities include accessioning all manuscript collections acquired, cataloging of items in various material formats, processing of special collections and creation of their respective finding aids. In addition, she helps provide reference service for CAC researchers as needed, particularly in topical areas dealing with the Center’s extensive Civil War holdings.
She is a member of the Society of American Archivists, the Midwest Archives Conference, and the Society of Ohio Archivists.
