Infantry Units: 125th Ohio Volunteer Infantry

Infantry units were recruited from all over the state. Those represented in detail here are the ones recruited primarily from northwest Ohio counties and those whose members wrote to local newspapers. More information will be added as it becomes available.

This Regiment was organized at Columbus and Camp Cleveland, Ohio, from September 16, 1862 to December 5, 1863, to serve three years. Company A was mustered out of service June 8, Company B June 20, and the remaining companies September 25, 1865, in accordance with orders from the War Department.
