Search for Books, Music, Videos, & More

BGSU users have access to materials in our own collection and may borrow books, scores, and occasionally recordings and videos from other institutions.  Click on a catalog name below to search for materials.

BGSU Library Catalog
Search the BGSU Library Catalog for books, scores, recordings, and videos in the ML/SRA collections.  See "The Basics of Using the ML/SRA" for some catalog searching tips.  If you're looking for a specific recording that you cannot find in the catalog, ask us.  We have over half a million uncataloged recordings that are in order, so if you can tell us what you're looking for, we'll be glad to look.  BGSU users may access additional streaming audio content through Naxos Music Library, DRAM, or American Song and streaming video content through WBGU's Television Learning Service.

Summon includes the contents of the BGSU Catalog and much more, including results from periodical databases, streaming media collections, and Public Domain books and music on the web.  See the Summon Help pages for guidance.

OhioLINK Catalog
OhioLINK is the statewide consortium to which BGSU belongs.  If you cannot find a particular item in the BGSU catalog, try searching OhioLINK to see if a member library owns it.  If so, place a request, and the item will be shipped to BGSU quickly.  See the OhioLINK website for more information about their services.  Users from OhioLINK libraries may also view streaming video content from OhioLINK's Educational and Instructional Videos in the Digital Resource Commons.

WorldCat is the OCLC union catalog, containing over 43 million records describing books and other items owned by libraries worldwide.  Search this catalog for materials that you can't find in the BGSU catalog or OhioLINK.  To borrow materials that you find in WorldCat, place a request through Interlibrary Loan.
