MyBGSU Portal Outage

An outage of ITS database servers will occur from 12:01-6 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, in order to complete upgrades. As a result, multiple applications that are dependent on database information will be unavailable, including but not limited to: Alumni Systems, Blackboard, Change Password, Course Catalog Information, DARS, ERP (CSS, FMS, and FMS ODS), e-Time for Students, English Placement Test, Math Placement Test, MyFiles, Onbase, Pinnacle, Portal, Pyramed, Rhythmyx CMS, RMS, Schedule of Classes, and Space Management.

BGSU Intranet Production Servers Outage

  • On Sunday, September 13 from 12:01AM - 6:00AM, the MyBGSU (my.bgsu.edu) will be down for system upgrade and security patches. Please direct any questions regarding this outage to the Technology Support Center at tsc@bgsu.edu or 2-0999.

  • MyBGSU (My.bgsu.edu) and Blackboard (eLearning.bgsu.edu) will be unavailable from 2-6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in order to complete system maintenance. You won't be able access MyBGSU, MyServices, or Blackboard. Please direct any questions regarding this outage to the Technology Support Center at tsc@bgsu.edu or 2-0999.
  • Access to the MyBGSU portal and MyServices will be unavailable from 2-6 a.m. Monday, May 19, in order to complete system maintenance.  Questions regarding this scheduled outage may be directed to the Technology Support Center at 2-0999 or tsc@bgsu.edu.
  • On Monday, March 3 2008, both MyBGSU web portal and Blackboard course management system will experiencing outage from 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM.  This outage is needed in order to apply the January 2008 Oracle critical patch updates.
  • MyBGSU campus portal system will experiencing brief outage on January 17 from 5:00AM - 5:30AM.  During this time access to the MyBGSU portal will be unavailable. The outage is required for software maintenance.
  • MyBGSU campus portal and Blackboard course management system outage on December 27th at 10:00pm.  The outage will last until December 28th at 6:00am.  During this time access to the MyBGSU portal, My Services, and Blackboard will be unavailable. The outage is required for software maintenance.

BGSU Intranet Test Servers Outage

  • On Tuesday, February 24 2009 from noon - 5:00PM, mytest.bgsu.edu will be down to install Oracle security patches.
  • On Friday September 12 2008, we would be applying database upgrade on test portal and test blackboard. Test systems will be unavailable from 7:00am - 1:00pm.
  • On Friday, July 25 2008, we would be applying July 08 critical patch updates to test portal and test blackboard. It will probably take a good portion of the day to get everything completed. It will be unavailable for the day starting at 7:30am.
  • On Friday, February 8 2008, both MyBGSU test portal and Blackboard test course management system will experiencing outage from 6:00 AM - noon.  This outage is needed in order to apply the January 2008 Oracle critical patch updates.
  • On Friday, December 7 2007, both mytest and elearningtest will undergo software maintenance.  The outage will be from 7:00AM to 1:00PM
