Enrolling Process/Adding a ClassStudent Center / Enrollment Process
Adding Classes:

Select Enrollment: Add from the other academic… list then click the Go (>>) button to navigate to the Add Classes page.

This page will allow you to Search for Classes and/or Add Classes to an Enrollment Shopping Cart in preparation for enrollment.

Verify Term!  Remember, you will choose the term based on when you want to enroll in classes.  Make sure you are searching for classes and enrolling in the correct term.

To Search for Classes, click the search button in the Find Classes section.

To add classes to your Enrollment Shopping Cart, if you know the class number, click in the Enter Class Nbr field, type the class number and click the enter button.  Then follow the steps to add classes to your Enrollment Shopping Cart.

Once classes are added to your Shopping Cart you can review those classes in the Enrollment Shopping Cart section before enrollment.

You also have the ability, on this page, to view classes in which you have already enrolled for this semester in the Class Schedule section.

If you want to search for classes before adding them to your shopping cart, click the search button in the Search for Classes field.

You will navigate to the Add Classes - Enter Search Criteria page.

When using this search method you must use at least two fields for your search to be effective.

Check the Term on this page to ensure you are searching for classes in the appropriate term.

You can enter class specific information such as the Course Subject, Course Number, and Course Career to aid in selecting the appropriate class.

Use the select subject button to assist you in selecting your Course Subject or if you know the Course Subject, simply type the Course Subject abbreviation, such as PSYC, in the Course Subject field.

The default value for the Course Career field is Undergraduate.  If you are searching for Graduate classes, this value must be changed to Graduate.

The default value for Campus field is Main Campus.  The other options are Firelands Campus and Distance Learning.

The Course Attribute field can be used to search for Web Based classes, BG Perspective (General Education), and First Semester Student Classes (Values) for example.  The field values here identify characteristics about a class.

The Additional Search Criteria section offers additional  search fields which allow you to search by Meeting Time, Day of Week, Instructor Last Name, and Location.

After entering the appropriate search criteria, click the Search button to start the search.

A good rule to follow is to enter as much class information as you have for this search.  For example, if you have the class number, enter this number in the Class Nbr field.  Another good combination is Course Subject and Course Number.  If you know days and times you want to attend this class, enter that information in the Meeting Time and Day of Week fields.

If your search results were not satifactory, click the Clear Criteria button to enter different search criteria.

After you click the Search button, the Add Classes - Search Results page appears.  This lists all classes matching the search criteria that you selected.

Near the top of the page you will see a partial listing of your current class schedule.  Click the Show All button to see it in full.  This may help you determine if a class you are considering will fit your schedule.

When you find the class that you want to add, click the Select Class button in the appropriate section.  In the example here there are two sections of ENG 2070, 1001 and 1002; to add section 1002, click Select Class in the box for section 1002.

Repeat the steps above until all desired classes are added to your Shopping Cart.

When finished adding classes, click the Proceed to Step 2 of 3 button.
