The BGSU Bookstore is participating in the second annual ‘National Student Day’ to recognize student volunteer efforts and win prizes. Several service-oriented promotions will take place at the Bookstore on the day of the event, and the Office of Service Learning will provide information to students about service opportunities in the community.
National Student Day will take place on October 2, 2012 in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union located outside of the Bookstore. Stop by the tables to participate in the following activities, be entered to win prizes, and most importantly, help make a difference!
Bring in a donation for the local community, and be entered to win a prize! Donations include non-perishable food items for local food pantries, personal care items for local women's shelters, and pet care items for the Humane Society. Monetary donations will also be accepted for each type of charity.
Firelands Campus will be collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries. Items can be dropped off at the Bookstore, Library, CPC Lobby, Computer lab, and the Pit. Donations will be sent to Care N Share of Erie County.
