Program Description
This program provides $4,000 annually in financial support to qualified students. In each of the fall and spring semesters, $2,000 will be credited to each recipient's Bursar account. There will be 15 scholarships awarded each year.

There are three components in selection of recipients for the scholarship:

  • Academic Success
  • Financial Need
  • Demonstrated Commitment to Community Service and Engagement
  • Completed FAFSA is required

Completion of an application is required. A link to this application form is provided below.

Scholarship Conditions

Similar to a fellowship, the scholarship requires participation by recipients in two arenas:

Fall Semester
Recipients will be enrolled in a one-credit course with other scholarship recipients and designated faculty to prepare academically for the spring semester service requirement.

Spring Semester
Recipients will be required to spend approximately 8 hours per week in a community service/engagement project, supervised by a faculty member. Student responsibility includes the commitment to meet the minimum hour requirement as well as maintenance of a log detailing service activities.

If the conditions of the scholarship are not met, the student will be required to return all or some of the awarded scholarship funds.
