Senior executive chef cooks for culinary conference
He delights the taste buds here at BGSU, and on April 17, Senior Executive Chef Pat Hannan will be a major part of the Foodways Expo and Culinary Conference at Woodland Mall.
The conference will feature three demonstrations by Mario Rizzotti, culinary specialist and judge on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America,” Hannan and Greg Shepherd of Stadium Salsa. Hannan will present “Extraordinary Seafood from Your Own Kitchen” and will also prepare lunch.

Vocal performer to attend SongFest 2010
A graduate student in collaborative piano will share her musical talents this summer at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.
Kate Stubbs of Bowling Green was awarded the Margo Garrett Fellowship to attend SongFest 2010. The competitive award of $1,500 is one of 10 full-tuition fellowships offered to outstanding singers and pianists through the Marc and Eva Stern Foundation.
Stubbs, currently studying with Dr. Thomas Rosenkranz, music performance studies, graduated from BGSU in 2008 with a degree in piano. During her undergraduate years, she won second and third places in the graduate division of the Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition.
Songfest 2010 is an intensive performing workshop designed to give singers, pianists, and vocal teachers and coaches the chance for in-depth study with distinguished artist faculty. All participants will be featured in public recitals held through the duration of the conference.
