Family members, friends and former colleagues and students of Dr. Ray Browne, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus of Popular Culture, gathered June 18 for a memorial tribute to the founder of the discipline of popular culture studies.

Following a service in Prout Chapel, the group moved to the union for a reception and viewing of a display of items chronicling Browne’s career and the impact of his contributions.
