The forum will cover the topics of billing statements (when eBill statements are produced and when they are due); Statement Summary (prior charges, current charges, current credits and anticipated financial aid); Loan Origination (FAFSA, loans, dependent fee waivers), and tuition calculation (what a student owes, interface to CASHNet, view access to student accounts).
Project team members will also answer questions regarding BG@100 and the Campus Solutions System (CSS) implementation. Further information about the project to implement CSS as the system of record for student administration at BGSU is available at: www.bgsu.edu/bgat100.
Academic Affairs announces area name changes
Two academic areas have adopted new names for some of their units, the provost’s office has announced.
In the College of Health and Human Services, the Department of Communication Disorders will now be known as the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This new name better aligns the department with its national academic body and better reflects the coursework and faculty scholarship. The name change will become effective in the 2010-11 course catalog, although the department code used in the registrar’s office will not change.
In the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Communication Studies will become the School of Media and Communication.
Within the school, the Department of Journalism becomes the Department of Journalism and Public Relations, and the Department of Interpersonal Communication becomes the Department of Communication. The 2010 course catalog will reflect the prefix change from IPC to COMM in the undergraduate catalog.
