Palin, Strickland and Brown to visit campus this week
Visiting BGSU this week will be Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, on Wednesday (Oct. 29), and Gov. Ted Strickland and U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, on Tuesday (Oct. 28).
BGSU does not support or oppose any candidate for elected office.
Palin will hold a rally for supporters at the Perry Field House, 801 N. Mercer Road. Doors open at 8:15 a.m. The program is expected to begin at 10:15 a.m.
Anyone wishing to attend the rally must have a ticket. Tickets are available from the Republican Party at the following locations:
• Wood County Republican Headquarters, 980 W. Poe Road, Suite 2, Bowling Green
(at the corner of Poe and Haskins near the fairgrounds), from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Wood County McCain/Palin Headquarters, 134 W. South Boundary St., Suite MM, in Perrysburg, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A BGSU student organization, the College Democrats, is sponsoring a “get-out-the-vote” campus event with Strickland and Brown at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Prout Chapel.
