Contributions of faculty recognized at awards dinner

The achievements and contributions of BGSU’s faculty were recognized and rewarded Oct. 28 at a dinner in their honor.

Awards given
Dr. Earl Boatwright, marketing, was named the 2008 Master Teacher by the Student Alumni Connection and the Alumni Association. See Boatwright earns Master Teacher Award for special blend of advising, teaching .

In honor of his many years of valuable contributions to the life of the University, Dr. James Evans, geology, won the Faculty Distinguished Service Award. See Evans embodies life of scholarship, service .

Dr. Alex Goberman, communication disorders, received the Elliott L. Blinn Award for Faculty-Undergraduate Student Innovative Basic Research/Creative Work, while Dr. Fleming Fallon, public and allied health, was presented the President’s Award for Collaborative Research and Creative Work. In recognition of its excellence and efforts to improve and update its approach, the University Honors Program was presented the President’s Award for Academic Advising of Undergraduate Students. See Honors advising recognized for individualized support .
