Young people learn about all that ‘jazz’ at Saturday concert
The College of Musical Arts’ Young Peoples Concerts continues on Saturday (Nov. 13) with “Jazz!,” a presentation by the Student Jazz Combos and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. This event will offer young audience members a glimpse into the world of jazz.
The concert begins at 11 a.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Admission is $1 for children, $2 for adults and is payable at the center’s box office the morning of the event. The box office will open at 10:30 a.m.
The Young People’s Concerts are recommended for children ages 5 and up, but younger music fans are welcome to attend. For more information, call the Moore Musical Arts Center Box Office at 2-8171.
Veterans get in free to BGSU-Miami ‘ESPN’ game
In honor of the upcoming Veterans Day, the University is offering free tickets to community veterans and service members for the Nov. 10 home game against Miami. In addition, veterans’ family members can buy tickets at the group rate of $8.
The 8 p.m. game is also special in that it will be nationally televised on ESPN.
The free and reduced-rate tickets may be picked up in advance at the ticket office in Memorial Hall or at the door on game day.
