BGSU celebrates World Voice Day
BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University will acknowledge the value and significance of vocal health during World Voice Day on April 13 in 228 Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The theme this year is “We Share a Voice.”
The event is free and open to the public and will feature vocal health screenings, information about vocal health and musical entertainment by students from the College of Musical Arts.
Speech-language pathology graduate students, supervised by licensed professionals, will provide the free vocal health screenings from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4 p.m.
A variety of vocalists from the College of Musical Arts will perform from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Visitors can participate in the screenings or just come to listen to the musical performances.
The celebration is sponsored by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the colleges of Health and Human Services and Musical Arts and the Center of Excellence in Health and Wellness Across the Lifespan.
