One of my favorite things to do in the summer is read a book in its entirety and then watch the movie one night with friends or family. One of my favorite book/movie combos would have to be Girl With A Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson and directed by David Fincher (2011 version).

The book was hard to put down after I ventured in a few chapters. It was so intelligently written and kept me on edge. I liked the book so much that I had to go see what could be made of it on the silver screen. The movie was a good adaptation and made things seem so real. Both the book and movie were enthralling and exciting as well as intense at times.

Other great choices for a book and movie combination would be:
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
The Hunger Games (trilogy) by Suzanne Collins

I'm also looking forward to reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It was recommended to me by a few close friends who I'd really like to chat with about the book. It was also on the New York Times Best Sellers list so I have to see what all the fuss is about!
