keynote speaker for leadership summit
A pioneer in the sustainability movement will be the keynote speaker for the Ray Marvin Leadership Summit on Oct. 25. Darcy Winslow will discuss "Sustainable Inspiration -- Leading from the Edge" at 4 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Ballroom.
Winslow spent more than 20 years with Nike where she held several leadership positions. She ran the women's apparel business and was the key leader in spearheading a major sustainability initiative, which made Nike a global leader in corporate social and environmental responsibility.
She is currently an executive-in-residence and senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, program director for Willamette University's Sustainable Enterprise Program, the founder of Designs for a Sustainable World Collective, and an adjunct faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership.
The summit is made possible by alumnus Ray Marvin, who is the founding executive director of the National Association of Attorneys General and is a successful entrepreneur in the Washington, D.C., area.
The Ray Marvin Leadership Summit is sponsored by the BGSU Center for Leadership, College of Business Administration, Office of Alumni and Development, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
