The Stroh Center is still under construction, but it has already booked a major event. It will host first- and second-round games of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in 2012.

"To host the first- and second-round games in Bowling Green is a testament to our staff and the work they put into the process, and obviously the incredible fan support our community displays for women's basketball," said Director of Athletics Greg Christopher.
"The games will provide a showcase for the new Stroh Center and for all of BGSU for visiting fans and a national television audience."

The games will be either March 17 and March 19 or March 18 and March 20, 2012. Exact dates will be determined in June of 2011, with ticket information to be released at a later time.

The 2011-12 season will be the first year of operation for the Stroh Center, which will serve as the new home for the Falcon men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams. Anderson Arena served as the site for first-round women's games in 1989, 1993 and 1994.
