From Gay to Ze

What are the resources for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Ally students here at BGSU? What does it mean to be queer, questioning, or gender non-conforming? What if I’m Black and gay or Asian and a lesbian? Come to this roundtable style presentation to connect with resources for BGSU’s LGBT and Ally student population. Tobias Spears, Assistant Director for LGBT Programs, will talk about how BGSU supports a diverse student body through the LGBT resource center and the many programs and services offered to LGBT students through various campus entities. Also in attendance will be representatives from many of BGSU’s LGBTA student organizations. Come out and learn more about BGSU and see the many different facets of LGBT and A. Downtown BG Tradition Tour

Thrive: Freshman Connect

For residents of McDonald, Offenhauer and Falcon Heights, teams of 6 will compete for the chance to be MacFalconHauer Sand Volleyball Champs. The winning team gets a prize. There will be food and music for all the attendees. Sign up for the tournament will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Movie in the Park
9:30 – 11:30 p.m., Wolfe Center Lawn, near Kreischer-AB
Come out for a Late Night movie showing and watch PITCH PERFECT on our HUGE inflatable screen. Enjoy a Falcon theater experience with popcorn and box candy. Bring a blanket or camping chair and enjoy movies under the stars with UAO.

With valid BGSU ID, come skate for free at the Ice Arena. Beginner through advanced skaters are encouraged to give skating a try during Public Skate. Rental skates are available to those in need. Sponsored by Athletics. Public Skate will be available at this time nightly from Monday, August 26th – Thursday, August 29th, AND Tuesday, September 3rd – Thursday, September 5th.
11 p.m. – 12 a.m., Ice Arena
With valid BGSU ID, come play broomball for free at the Ice Arena. Bring your friends and wear sneakers with good tread. Helmets, balls and sticks will be provided. Sponsored by Athletics.
