Dr. Mari Ann Callais
Dr. Mari Ann Callais served as the Director of Student Organizations and Greek Life at Southeastern Louisiana University for 10 years. She most recently served an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the Student Affairs Graduate Program at Mississippi State University and is currently the Director of Development for The Center for Living, Learning, Leading for Delta Delta Delta Fraternity.
She received a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University, earned a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and received a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University.
Callais was a part of the Capstone Team that developed and built fraternity/sorority housing projects at Western Carolina University and Washington and Jefferson College. She is also a consultant on several fraternity/sorority housing projects and is working with Bowling Green State University and Pierce Education Properties to examine BGSU’s current Greek Housing situation to help determine the direction the University is interested in as it moves forward.
Frederick W. Pierce, IV
President & CEO
Fred Pierce is CEO of Pierce Education Properties, ranked among the Top 15 owners (2012) and Top 5 buyers (since 2007) of student housing nationally. Fred was Platt Companies’ CFO, Price Waterhouse’s Regional Director RE Consulting and KPMG/Goodkin Group’s RE Consulting Director. He is Vice Chairman of SDSU’s College of Business and President of Poway Unified School District Foundation’s Board of Directors, Sonoma State University’s Wine Business Institute, Marshall Faulk Foundation and SDSU’s Corky McMillin RE Center. Fred is Trustee Emeritus of California State University System; past President of San Diego City Pension Fund Board, CSU Alumni Council and SDSU Alumni Association; and former Board Member of INVESCO’s RE Fund I. Fred is President of the San Diego Region Alumni Chapter of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and a former President of the Fraternity’s house corporation at SDSU. Fred completed RE Finance studies in SDSU’s MBA program, and bachelor’s degree in finance, cum laude, from SDSU. He was SDSU’s College of Business Distinguished Alumni (1999), Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Real Estate and Construction in San Diego (2012), and named one of 24 national “Student Housing Pioneers” by Real Estate Forum Magazine (2013).
