The 2013 Latino Issues Conference will feature a specialized track for participating high school students. We are extending a special invitation to 10th and 11th grade Hispanic/Latino/a high school students as well as nominated ninth graders to attend (which includes any chaperones and/or instructors). The specialized track will be focused on leadership development and role modeling. The track will consist of two plenary sessions, the conference luncheon and a special half-hour conversation with the Keynote Speaker, Shayla Rivera. The conference is free for participating High School students.
Letters to different area High Schools were mailed recently. If you are interested in having students from your school participate in this year’s conference, please contact Gabe Lomeli at 419-372-9468. We need to confirm the final participants by Friday, April 12, 2013 at the latest. High Schools are encouraged to register their students via the registration link.
