From Gay to Ze

What are the resources for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, and Ally students at BGSU? What does it mean to be queer, questioning, or gender non-conforming? What if I’m Black and gay or Asian and a lesbian? Come to this roundtable style presentation to connect with resources for BGSU's LGBTA student population. Tobias Spears, Assistant Director for LGBT Programs, will talk about how BGSU supports a diverse student body through the LGBT resource center and the many programs and services offered to LGBT students through various campus entities. Also in attendance will be representatives from many of BGSU’s LGBTA student organizations. Come out and learn more about BGSU and see the many different facets of LGBT and A.

    LGBT Resource Center hosts a picnic for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and ally students, faculty and staff in the BGSU community. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to come and support others, meet new people and get to know our community together. Please come out and show your support.

 

NCBI Diversity Education Workshop Pt.1

This diversity training session is designed to educate, empower and build allies. Participants experience how they’ve been taught to think according to their identity groups. The workshop consists of activities which provide skills for bridging differences, building self-confidence and increasing cultural proficiency skills. This training teaches the soft skills that are valuable to any work or social environment. Diversity training teaches participants to understand each other and themselves, and development of good team leader and membership skills.

The workshop consists of activities which provide self-confidence and increased cultural proficiency skills by learning how to effectively handle prejudicial remarks, jokes, and slurs. This training teaches the soft skills that are valuable to any work or social environment.

Kwanzaa Celebration
