Falcon Fitness - Group Exercise Classes

Group X classes are a great way to get all the exercise you need in a fun, motivational environment. It provides support, accountability and structure and ensures participants complete a well-rounded exercise routine from a certified instructor. A group exercise pass gives participants access to a wide variety of fun and results-oriented classes. Participants can attend unlimited classes by purchasing a Group Exercise Pass or pay as you go by purchasing a one class pass. Purchase Group Exercise Passes at the Student Recreation Center or Perry Field House Welcome Desk. All participants must be at least 16 years of age. CARDIO & STRENGTH

Cardio Strength
NEW! Are you looking to sculpt lean muscles while working up a good sweat? This is the class for you! Combining high-rep and low-weight strength training and cardio intervals, it is guaranteed to be a great workout with great results!

Total Body Tone
Start your day right with this non-stop toning class. This ultimate full body workout uses dumbbells, your own body weight, and great music to create a leaner, stronger body!

Body Bootcamp
Kick it up with a mix of cardio and strength for a full body workout. Beneficial for all fitness levels from beginner to expert!

Power Pedal/Wake Up N' Ride
Cycle your way to improved cardiovascular fitness! This high energy 45-minute spin class pushes up hills, through jumps, and high paced sprints.

Cycle Core
Get summer ready by completing this high-energy cycle workout. Each class ends with toning exercises targeting the core. A balance of cardio and toning for those who are strapped for time!

Cycle Bootcamp
Looking for a little variety? Beat exercise boredom and take fitness to the next level with a mix of spinning and strength moves designed for any fitness level. High-energy cycling combined with weighted and bodyweight stations leave you feeling accomplished and proud.

Falcons on the Run
Join BGSU's latest running group that incorporates runs of various paces and durations with strength, stretching and core work. It doesn't matter if you are training for your first 5K or a full marathon, come flock with the Falcon Running Group! All fitness levels are encouraged to join.

MIND/BODY

Beginner Yoga
This class is perfect for the beginner to learn new poses, learn about Yoga, and improve strength and flexibility in a calm and relaxing environment.

Intermediate Yoga
Exercise your mind, body and spirit. This class is designed to move beyond the Beginner Yoga state, increasing knowledge and capability of more poses and breathing techniques. Using the Universal Principles of Alignment brings the body toward its optimal muscular, skeletal, and energetic blueprint.

Advanced Yoga
Further Yoga capabilities and learn more about suspended poses and advanced sequencing to push yourself to the limits and focus on balance and strength. Pre-registration at the SRC or PFH Welcome Desk is required for this workshop. Prior Yoga experience is highly recommended.

FACULTY/STAFF FITNESS CLASSES

Outdoor Cardio Tone
Available April 7 – April 30 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:15 PM. Enjoy a 45-minute session of power walking intervals and body toning exercises to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility. Group meets in the Perry Field House lobby and then heads outdoors to enjoy a workout in the fresh spring air!

Group Exercise Policies

1. All participants must be at least 16 years of age or older and purchase a Group Exercise Pass. A valid Bowling Green State University or Student Recreation Center ID must be presented at the start of each class. Patrons are not admitted without this ID card.

2. Before beginning, it is strongly recommended that you have a physical examination to determine your fitness level. Programs may be strenuous.

3. Participation is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. The instructor reserves the right to determine class minimums and maximums based on equipment and facility space.

4. For safety reasons, it is strongly recommended that participants attend entire class sessions for appropriate warm-up and cool down.

5. Class schedules are subject to change or cancellation. Revised schedules are posted when changes are made.

6. In the case of any incident or physical accident that may occur in a group exercise session, staff personnel is required to have participant(s) involved fill out an Incident and/or Accident Report Form to be kept on file with the Department of Recreation and Wellness.

7. Appropriate workout attire is required at all times.

8. Equipment (hand weights, bands, steps, etc.) utilized during class must be returned and may not be taken out of the group fitness area for individual use.

9. It is highly recommended that participants bring water in a closed plastic container to class. Water is the only drink permitted in group exercise classes.
