Caregiving Support Session, Recreation and Wellness

Wednesday, November 28, 2012, 7:00 - 7:45 a.m. in Olscamp 119
Within the U.S., more than 65 million people (29% of the population) provide care for a chronically ill, disabled, aged family member or friend during any given year. Because family caregivers must attempt to balance work responsibilities with their caregiving responsibilities, it is not surprising that many caregivers are emotionally drained and physically exhausted. WellAware has partnered with faculty from the Gerontology Program to offer special programs for BGSU faculty and staff that are providing care. The first program focuses on tips for balancing work and providing care, community resources, and caregiver support groups.
