Commencement Committee

PURPOSE:

To organize the logistics, disseminate information, and collaborate on the campus-wide effort concerning BGSU’s commencement services.


FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serve as a partnership between university offices, academic colleges, and Student Affairs to organize commencement services.

MEMBERSHIP:

  1. Shall consist of representatives from Facilities Services, the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Recreational Sports, Marketing and Communications, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Office of the Provost, the Academic Colleges, Materials Handling, Registration and Records, Campus Police, Parking Services, the University Bookstore, and Campus Activities;
  2. All appointments are for one-year terms.

CHAIR:

The chair shall be appointed by the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.


OPERATING PROCEDURE:

All meetings shall be conducted within the framework of BGSU’s core values of respect and cooperation.


VOTING RIGHTS:

All members shall have equal voting rights.


REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The Commencement Committee reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
