Unveiling Ceremony

The Unveiling Ceremony remembers and honors local girls and women whose lives ended abruptly and violently at the hands of a husband, ex-husband, partner or stalker. Each year, the Women’s Center at BGSU unveils the names and stories of these Silent Witnesses at the Unveiling Ceremony where each name and story is read in first-person.  This Silent Witness chapter has over 65 life-size Silent Witnesses from Northwest Ohio alone.  This collection of mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, nieces, and friends is a powerful testament to our community’s commitment to break the silence about domestic violence.
