Presenter:  Francisco-Xavier Gómez-Bellengé, Ph.D., The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio

 

Biography:

Francisco-Xavier Gómez-Bellengé is Associate to the Dean in the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. He was born in Cleveland and has lived in Columbus since 1997. He completed doctoral coursework in education at Cleveland State University and holds an M.A. in Medical Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University.

At Fisher College, he coordinates the specialized business accreditation, institutional research and leads a variety of diversity initiatives, also co-teaching a graduate course on diversity. He is co-chair of the OSU Hispanic Oversight Committee, a group that raises awareness of issues of concern to Latino students, faculty and staff; board member of the Central Ohio Diversity Consortium; Education Officer of the newly established Columbus chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs; Editorial Board member and frequent contributor to ¿Que Pasa, OSU? and advises the Fisher Graduate Latino Association. He was on the Organizing Committee and a Track Chair, of the 2010 & 2011 Ohio Latino Diversity Talent Conferences. He has made numerous professional presentations and published on topics such as Health and Retirement and early literacy.
