2014 Student Scholarships
The Office of Multicultural Affairs is proud to announce a scholarship opportunity for students to attend the 18th annual State of the State Conference hosted at BGSU on March 20, 2014 in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. These scholarships are provided through generous funding from Target stores.
Each year, the “State of the State” offers Ohioans, and those living in Ohio, the opportunity to engage in a state wide conversation about issues of equity, diversity, and social justice. Representatives from institutions and organizations run the gamut– education, state and local governments, judiciary, health care, corporations, etc. These entities are brought together for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and strategies. This year we are excited to host conference keynotes Matt Roloff of TLC’s television series Little People, Big World and Baldemar Velásquez known primarily for his work with the Farm Labor Organizing Committee, AFL-CIO.
We highly encourage BGSU students to attend and take advantage of this educational opportunity. We are seeking applications from international students, US students, nontraditional students, veterans, all races and ethnicities various religions and beliefs, sexual orientations, class, etc. Please take a moment to seriously consider attending this exciting event.
In order to be considered for a scholarship, please complete the application form listed below by March 14th (the Friday of spring break).
